Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara) (5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British singer-songwriter, pianist, guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Queen. His parents Bomi and Jer Bulsara,[a] were ethnic Parsis from the Gujarat region of the then province of Bombay Presidency in British India.
