Global Warming - the gradual increase in the temperature of the earth's atmosphere due to increased levels of carbon dioxide. An increase in global temperature will cause sea levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of precipitation. The continuing retreat of glaciers and sea ice is expected, with the Arctic. being effected the most. Other likely effects include increases in the intensity of extreme weather events and species extinction. It is clear that something needs to be done to stop this trend. Carbon emissions and pollution must be drastically minimized, and our way of life must changes. The human race is harnessing fossil fuels 10000x faster than they can replenish. It is clear something needs to be to "heal the world".
