Olympic Oval

In 2006 Canada won 8 medals, 2 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.

It cost about $170 million to build the Richmond Oval!!!!!

There are many events such as the womens 1500 meter or mens 10000 meter.

The Olympic Oval is where the 2010 Olympic speed skating is being held

Speed skaters skate blades are so long because hockey skates are to round and you would rock back and forth. Figure skates are alright but you risk sticking a toe pick in the ice.

Dimitri Deboel is a world class inline speed skater from Belguim. Other speed skaters are Allison Baver of U.S.A. and Kristina Groves of Canada.
