Fall of Greece
The ancient Greeks had already conquered much of the world and it was ruled by Alexander the Great. He had married a Bactrian Princess and had a son. he died before his son was born and to keep his empire together his generals divided the empire amongst themselves until the son was old enough to rule an empire. the generals fought with eachother and over decades of fighting all that was left was four small empires. Those smaller empires were then ruled by Antigonus, Seleucus, and Ptomely. In the Macedonian wars Rome and Macedonia warred with eachother and eventually caused the fall of Macedonian rule over Greece. Greece becomes part of the Roman empire.

& Rome
similar to America's Cold War physcology America expanded military into countries like Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Ethiopia, Angola, etc.
no single explanation for the fall of Rome western half fell violence increased, public health declined, political powers were corrupted, inflation, etc. German barbarians invaded the north
Roman Implosian! BOOM!
I think that other people looked at them as role models and when they fell everybody lost all hope in having a good society.
I think that the decline of these civilizations led to the Dark Ages because all of the knowledge of the world was lost when they fell.
