Sedmentary Rock
Igneous Rock
Metamorphic Rock
THE ROCK CYCLE
Magma
a metamorphic rock is a new rock that forms when existing rock or is heated or squeezed . there are two types of metamorphic rock 1 foliated 2 nonfoliated
a sedimentary rock is a type of rock made from pieces of other rocks, disolved minerals, or plant and animal matter that collect to form rock layers. there are three types of sedimentary rock 1 detrital rock 2 chemical rock 3 organic rock
igneous rocks form from magma. there are two types of igneous rocks 1 the first type of igneous rock is an extrusive igneous rock which is formed out side of Earth and on it's surface 2the second type of igneous rock is an intrusive rock which is formed inside Earth's mantle
magma (also known as lava when above Earth's surface ) is a very hot liquid formed Andfound under Earth's crust and is in the mantle(the second layer in Earth). magma is the very beginning of the rock cycle because it is what makes rocks whaen it cools
heat and pressure make a metamophic rock
magma cools to make igneous rock
compaction and cementation makes a sedimentary rock
