since his birth in the mid-70s in Hawaii, Jack Johnson has acheived success as a singer, filmmaker, enviromentalist, and surfer.
in addition to participating in the 'Curious George' soundtrack, Johnson has written four records: 'Brushfire Fairytales', 'On and On', 'In Between Dreams', and 'Sleep Through the Static'.
Johnson is the founder of the Kokau Hawaii Foundation, to support enviromental education in schools. he also maintains the most eco-friendly record companies in the industry-- the building is outfitted with 32 solar panels, fluorescent bulbs, and is insulated by blue-jeans scraps.

before becoming a singer, Johnson was known for having remarkable surfing skills. being raised by a pro surfer seemed to come in handy, as he was invited to the Pipeline Masters at 17-- the youngest at that time. while bedridden after an accidnent, Johnson began to write songs-- and things took off.
