Nicolas Copernicus
1543
Copernicus thought that the SUN was in the center of the unvirese, not the sun like what the Catholic Church was having everyone believe.
Though people rejectected this theory, he had the help of great scientists like Galileo, Kepler, and Tycho Brahe. They all provided proof to heliocentrism.
Galileo used his telescope to observe planitary motion and Kepler used math to improve Brahe's calculations on the planets orbits.
Copernicus is important because without him it may have taken longer to determine what is truly in the center of our universe.
