Aldous Huxley's Brave New World presents a fantastic rendition of a utopian world. The characters are placed in a world without pain, fear or love. This allows them to have peace and happiness without worry. The few people that try to counter the way of life and question society's style are silenced and no longer heard from. Bernard finds his intelligence and lack of respect that others show towards him the reason he rebels. John, who is known as a savage, is placed under similar circumstances but because his ways are different from the civilized world's. Lenina on the other hand follows the laws and ethics that are in place and does as everyone else does and so is not required to leave. Though some ideas are amazingly outrageous, many have already happened since this wonderfully thoughtful novel.
