The confederacy was the last straw!
When I became president the south was very angry with the north!
I caused a revolt in the south. They saw it as an attack
When i lived in a free state i demanded freedom.. Instead I just made things worse by going to the supreme court.
The fugitive slave act caused many people to be arrested with its unfair ability to claim anyone as a slave.
The constitution in Kansas was voted on to be free, but due to poor judgement was made a slave state at first!
Bleeding Kansas caused a large amount of violence between antislave, and slave wanting citizens
The compromise of 1850 only delayed fighting. Both sides would end up very angry.
Due to popular sovereignty large amounts of violent people would storm new territories trying to vote it to be free, or slave.
Uncle tom's cabin sparked anger between the north and the south. The book described very poor southern slave conditions.
