Revolutionary Roadwork
The Battle of Alamance, which took place in 1771, was led by governer William Tryon. He led the battle against the regulators, which ended their uprising in the state.
The Mecklenburg Resolves stated that the British laws would no longer be in effect. They were created in 1775 and nullifed British law in the colony.
The Halifax Resolves were the first official call for independance from Britain. They were created in 1776, and stated that Britain was opressing.
The Regulator Movement was when many western citizens rose up and rebelled. they believed the government was being abusive of power. It was ended in 1771 with the Battle of Alamance, and most of the rebels were pardoned, although tension between the eastern citizens and the western citizens still remained
