She saw the signs But the turned a blind eye Her friends and familly tried to warn her But she wouldn't hear of it Now she was laying on the floor bruised and hurting She was used to it by now ''I must have done something wrong again. . . . .'' she thought There was no excuse, he didn't drink or do drugs But she thought nothing of it She couldn't see what he was doing or how wrong it was Melany went through this for 3years until he broke her arm Then she relized she couldn't sit around But she loved him so much They got back from the hospital ''i fell'' she had told the nurse, but the nurse saw through the lie At home she made a comment under her breath He became angry ''what was that?!'' she shook her head ''nothing, hun'' This made him more angry he raise his hand, but she hit him across the face with her cast As he held him face in pain She ran over and grabbed his pistol off his desk and ran to the phone As she picked up the phone he threatend her and called her rude names melany cocked the gun aimed it at him ''No, your going to leave me alone while i phone the police. And after that you are gonna get out of my house'' he creamed and yelled as she dialed the number This took so much courage and so much strength Melany was finallt free from his grasp and could live her life without being afraid
