Viking Ships
Knar's were ships built for atlantic voyages. These ships could carry up to 24 tons and were 54 feet long. They were mostly used for trading goods.
I am interested in the viking ships because I think that it was a very important tribute to their success. Their ships helped the vikings a lot from transporting goods, discovering new lands and attacking their enemies.
Viking vessels were called 'Dragon Ships' because on the bow of the ship there was a ceremonial decoration that looked like a dragon's head.
Longships were used for trade, commerce, exploration and warfare. The size could vary from 17-45 meters long and they could go as fast as 15 knots.
I think this would be important to other people because they would learn more about the different types of ships and how they were used. It also shows how important ships were to the vikings and how much they depended on them
