With the ratification of the Constitution you'll now have a drastic say in government. 'Government can only govern with the consent of the governed.' Also, with the ratification of the Constitution your government will have enough power to protect you without being ALL powerful. Under the articles of confederation the government wasnt even powerful enough to stop a small farmer rebellion. With the ratification you can feel safe once again!
With the implimentation of the system of Checks and Balances there were be a definite seperation of power in your government. Power will be EQUALLY split up between an executive, legislative, and judicial branch. Each branch will have a specific set of powers that is checked by the other branches. This system is put in place so that the people can get what they want. Each person's voice will be heard and each man will have some representation in their government. No one branch can overpower another so the United States will be ruled by the Will of the People. This system is fool-proof with the prevention of anyone becoming too powerful. The desire for equal power is why America was founded in the first place! Have no fear of an overpowerful or unfair government!
