Lancelot Jones
Lancelot Jones was born on a boat in Biscayne Bay. He inherited a little island called Porgy Key on the southern end of Biscayne Bay. He was a private resident of his island and became a fishing guide to millionaires vacationing at Miami Beach. When developers offered to buy his land he refused. But when Biscayne was named a national park he sold his 266 acres to the National Parks Service but retained lifetime tanancey on the land that he loved.

Mangroves cover the coast and protect it from erosion and small animals from predators. They are the only trees that can grow in salt water. They take in salt water and excrete the salt through their leaves.
