Mesopotamia
The Assyrians, Persians and Phoenicians are three of the most important Mesopotamian civilizations. The Assyrians were the first to create a successful government. They used the Tigris and Euphrates river for trade. They were also warfare specialists which is important in conquering lands. The Persians had fair government, largely expanded, were tolerant of all people, cultures and religion. The phoenicians colonized around the Meditterranean Sea, used boats for trade and travel and discovered the royal purple in a shellfish.

A successful government is important because it is the main structure of your whole civilization. Trading is important in finiding new materials and expanding your knowledge of other civilizationsand having a strong army increases your chances of winning battles. Having a fair government is important becuase if you're not fair to your people, why should they trust you? You have to expand your empire so you don't get cornered into a bad geographical place and get wiped out.. Being tolerant of others is a good way to win the trust of you people. Colonization is a good way to expand your empire without thinning out your power. Traveling to distant lands is a good way to create maps, calendars and learning about other cultures. Having a valuable item of t rade that is in your territory is a smart way to make money.
