The Assumption
This painting was created by a man named Titian. It shows how people during his time period assumed that there were gods and higher beings than themselves just because everybody said there were. There were few cases where the common man stood up and said they didn't believe it. This is relevent to today because people still do the same thing. They follow these rules that a church sets up for them but don't think for themselves. They don't really know if the are higher beings. They just assume.
