The Divine Comedy
The Divine Comedy is a book written by Dante Alighieri. It describes the nine circles of Hell in detail. Every punishment for all of a persons sins are explained in this novel. The worst circle of Hell is, obviously, the lowest (Circle 9). The only way to get to this part is to commit the sin of ''Treachery''. So just don't stab anybody in the back an youll be fine.

This book was created by a man who described, what he believed, was Hell. This was important during this time period because it scared people. Swaying the people into a certain emotion changes the way everybody acts. This book is still important because churches still follow the concept of The Cicles of Hell.
