Albert was born into a non religious Jewish family in Ulm, Germany. At the age of five he became curious in science when he got a compass which the needle always pointed the same way. After that he loved science and math for the rest of his life. He grew up going from school to school and eventually getting jobs that aloud him to think about math and science.
