Roots absorb the water and nutrients needed for the plants growth!
They also store sugars and carbohydrates that the plants need to carry functions!

Plants can be. . . Annual: Plants that grow, flower, make seeds and die in one year. Perennial: A plant that lives a long time. It comes back every year after resting over the winter. Grass, Trees and flowers are good examples. Biennial: A plant that needs 2 years to grow, flower, make seeds and then die.
