San Yat-Sen is considered one of China's greatest leaders. He is also known as the father of the revolution or the father of the republic. He struggled to bring a nationalist and democratic revolution to China. He finally didwith the establishment of the Chinese Republic in 1912 with him as president. His three ideas were based on nationalism, democracy, and equalization. This became known as ''Three basic principals." However after the China revolution, he quickly fell out of power.

CHILD LIFE: During the years of growing up, Sun lived in Hawaii. His american experience lasted with him throughout his life. He wrote two bookes. One called ''One, The Vital Problem of China'' which analyzed some of the problems of colonialism. The second book was ''International Development of China'' presents detailed proposals for the development of infrastructure in China. When he arrived back to China, he was dissapointed at what he saw such as, the demand of exorbitant taxes and levies from its people or how the schools maintained their ancient methods, leaving no opportunity for expression of thought or opinion
