Hair of the 1920's... It was popular for women to wear their hair in a wavy bobbed style with two curls on the sides of their faces .
Women's Fashion of the 1920's...
Many positive changes were made for women leading up to and during the 1920's ; changes such as having the right to vote, holding new jobs and wearing new fashions.
During the 1920's women began to wear shorter skirts and dresses. These would fall just below their knees. Many women also stopped wearing corsets and started to wear more comfortable undergarments.
Hats were a must during the 20's.! The hats women wore were bell shaped and covered most of their hair.
During the 1920's most of women's clothes came from Paris, and were designed by fashion designers such as : Madeleine Vionnet, , Paul Poiret, Jean Patou and Coco Chanel.
Accessories... Along with wearing bell shaped hats, women carried cloches. Cloches were small purses that women used to add to their ''look''.
The ''look'' of women in the 1920's took on a tubular shape, because everything emphasized a straight line from shoulder to hem. During this decade, women wanted flatter breasts and for their waists to be lowered to their hiplines.
Make-up... By the mid 1920's women were plucking their eyebrows, wearing heavy powder, scarlet lipstick and dark eyeliner.
Coco Chanel introduced the idea of the ''little black dress''.
