Mr.Gascoigne has his name from a famous poet, George Gascoigne. Also from Sir Thomas Gascoigne an actor. Mr. Medbourne, Matthew Medbourne. A translator of Moliere. Sylvia Ward., his lover. Comes from the name Joshua Ward a quack doctor. Famous for ''Ward's Remedy.'' Pills that killed as much as it cured.
