Mahe Drysdale
Mahe Drysdale showed resilience in the olympic games 2008. He caught a stomach bug and the finnals he was comming last. Then he showed resilience by stepping up and comming third place and winning New Zealand our second bronze medal and our second over all medal. To get into the Olympics he had to race against Rob Weddell even though he was the world champion. Mahe challenged himself and raced against Rob but gained the spot in New Zealands Olympic team for 2008.
Mahe Drysdale began rowing at university at the age of 18. He is the current world champion having taken the title and unprecedented three times in succession in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and he goes to Beijing as the favourite.
