''Superb!'' -Daniel Krupa ''It's time for everyone to read or reread Brave New World'' -Raleigh News & Observer
Imagine a world, a new world, a brave new world. It's very new and brave isn't it? Well anywho, the story starts in the Central London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre. People are no longer born into the world, they are now created. ''Community, Identity, Stability'' is the motto they repeat. In fact, repeating is the only thing they do. People no longer learn, but memorize. Oh those silly people. In this new world, people don't seem to age anymore but have an average life expectancy of 60 years old. Pain is outdated as a drug called soma is created, giving gitty feelings to all. Feeling down? SOMA. Feeling soar? SOMA. Soma is the panacea with no side effects that have people craving for. This new world may sound cool, or hip, but really, everyone is just conditioned and brainwashed. Opinions are obsolete and the way of life as we know it is gone. ''So this brave new world'' is actually quite scary, unless you're into that sort of thing.
