Science Fiction Films are usually scientific, visionary, comic-strip-like, and imaginative - complete with heroes, distant planets, impossible quests, improbable settings, fantastic places, great dark and shadowy villains, futuristic technology Drama Films are serious presentations, portraying realistic characters, settings, life situations, and stories. Thriller Films are types of films known to promote intense excitement, suspense, a high level of anticipation, ultra-heightened expectation, uncertainty, anxiety, and nerve-wracking tension.

THE PURPOSE OF FILMS Film is a kind of media which audiences are able to receive the meanings directly by watching the scenes, listening the sound. It is used to make a particular atmosphere in order that audiences can experience the spots as if a member of the characters.
AUDIENCES Films have many different kinds of categories, they are enjoyed by different groups of people. For example, old generations may like social or historical films and drama films, while young generations prefer romance, mystery and science fiction films. In a word, films are produced for all groups of people, emh.....of course except blind.
DISTINCTIVE FEATURES Film is different from other media such as broadcast or the Internet. Film is created more complicated and distinctive, it needs a lot of complex procedures. Furthermore, film conveys meaning by particular graphs,vedios and sounds, more impressive than others.
THE ADVANTAGES OF FILM As we can see, film is very popular nowadays.The reasons are different and specific. First of all, film is produced more accurate than any other media, as a result, people are willing to accept the excitement and happiness brought by films. Secondly, film creates a short but impressive story, not like pop-corn TV shows, long and monotonous. Thirdly, film is able to provide a platform for every single audience to visualise his or her own adventure while watching the exciting spots, although we can also do that through other media, I think film is a better way.
