The Vietnam War
The war was fought between the communist Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) and its communist allies and the US-supported Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam).
Then the U.S. jumped in to help the south and the U.S. helped the south because they wanted hold the line against the spread of world Communism.
(1945 - 1975)
A lot of people think that the Communist Vietnam won the Vietnam war. But to me, think no one won. Because the U.S.'s goal was to make Vietnam a united and a democratic country, but the U.S. wasn't able to do it. And it was a victory to the U.S. because it made part of Vietnam (south Vietnam) reamain democratic.
The Vietnam War changed the Amarican's psyche about how they look at war and how they cover war.
The Vietnam War was one of the fiercest wars in the history of the world. Hundreds of thousands died during the battles of the Vietnam War. The U.S. have lost more soldiers in the Vietnam war than any other war.
The war was started because the north wanted to make the south into communist nation .
