Leonardo da Vinci was an artist in the Italian Renaissance. He made many contributions to science and technology with his art. He drew pictures of the inside of peoples body, to show what it looks like and how it is supposed to function.

In the Medieval Ages, people wrote in the uncial script, but in the Renaissance, writers continued to write in calligraphy, but changed to the Italian script. Ink and quills were used to copy down writing. Miguel de Cervantes brought across new ideas by writing tradegies, comedies, and about everything in between

The Renaissance resulted in great achievements in esthetic and literary interests, but advances in science moved slowly during the period. The era, however, opened a door for individuals like Copernicus to express beliefs they found contrary to what was accepted.
