The Beauty Of The Broken Heart You suffer from a broken heart I know how much that hurts Everything was great at the start And your hearts safety was assured Love is professed and promises are made Everything is going great But then love slowly begins to fade Promises made seem made to break Broken promises lead to heart that is crushed Now many tears are being shed What went wrong perhaps I rushed Things and I was misled Now your heart is scattered in bits You feel you will die this way What good could ever come of this Just listen to what I say There is beauty in the heart that’s broken Though it is sometimes hard to find You have something to put you hope in Even though it’s hard to think of in your mind Where is the beauty in being shattered I know you are asking now? Your heart has been crushed like it never mattered You find beauty in this how? Well they say it is better to have loved and lost Than to have never loved at all I think that with true love comes a cost To find it you first must fall A broken heart needs mending Who will take this task Who will see that this heart needs tending
I know that’s what you ask. When true love finally comes your way Your heart may be in bits But true love will say Let me pick up the pieces and fix it See the beauty of the heart that’s broken Lies not in the pain that you feel The beauty of the heart that’s broken Lies in the fact that true love will always heal True love will be the needle and thread For a heart that is broken True love will mend the pain you dread And that is the beauty of the heart that’s broken
