Actions taken by the Citizens during WW2
Production: Cilvilians were resonsible for making jeeps, tanks, and other military supplies for the war.
Draft: Men between 18-45 were resposible to register into the drafr. 1 There were 15 million Americans who served in WW2. There were 1 million blacks and 300,000 Mexican-Americans fighting in the war.
Scrap Drive: Cilvilains were responsible to donate metal, paper, old rags and rubber for war production. Rationing: civilians were suppose to limit their product buying.
Spies: The government warned the people to keep their mouth shut about the public because of foreign spies. This was the citizen's responsibility to make sure that the spies didn't report anything back to their homeland.
Actions taken by the government during WW2
War bonds: The government sent out war bonds to help raise money for the war. The citizens were suppose use 10% of their salary to buy war bonds.
Spies: The goverment warned the citizens to be careful about who they talk with about the war in public so, the spies don't report to their country. Which also caused citizens not to protest about the war.

Women in the military: The goverment set up to military groups for the women to support the war in. Women Air Force Service Piolts(WASPs). Their job was to fly training planes and supply planes. Also there was the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps(WAAC)they worked in communicationsand also the Nursing Corps.
Women in the workforce: Jobs are open because the men left to fight the war. Blacks also move again because a lot of jobs are open. Now the women leave their homes to go find work.
